3) Press a second thin layer only where needed. Instead of dragging product everywhere, I pressed it onto redness and spots. Pressing (not swiping) kept it from lifting the first layer.

4) Finish by lightly pressing with a sponge. This took away any extra texture from the brush and made it melt into the skin.

This gave me more coverage while still keeping that smooth, blurred look. It also helped avoid that “foundation sitting on top” feeling.

Shade matching can make or break your experience with any foundation, and this is where I have mixed feelings. The range is broad, but undertones can be tricky—especially if you’re someone who falls into that neutral-olive zone where shades can pull too warm, too peach, or too gray depending on lighting.

What helped me was testing in natural light and checking the shade after it settled for a bit. Some foundations look perfect wet and then shift once they dry down. Who might not vibe with it

If you want full coverage in one layer, you might feel like you have to work a little more. It can build, but it’s not that instant “one pump and everything disappears” type.

If your skin is very dry and you skip prep, the natural-matte finish can show dryness. With good prep it’s fine, but it’s not a “no-prep, still flawless” base for me.

If you’re very particular about olive-neutral undertones, you may need to test carefully in daylight. Undertone matching is the part that can be frustrating if you’re in-between.

My favorite way to wear it (the “smooth foundation application” combo)

When I want it to look extra smooth, I do this:

1) Light moisturizer and let it settle.

2) One thin layer with a dense brush, focused on the center of the face.

3) Press (not swipe) a second thin layer only where I want more coverage.

4) Lightly press with a sponge to melt everything together.

5) Set only where I crease or get shiny.

It’s also the kind of base I’d reach for when I want to look put together without looking like I tried too hard.

And honestly? The fact that it’s cute and aesthetic doesn’t hurt. I’m human. I like pretty things on my vanity. But the reason it stayed in my routine is the finish and the wear, not just the bottle.
